The Beak and Barrel Opens August 29 at Magic Kingdom

The highly anticipated pirate-themed lounge is ready to welcome guests with its full menu revealed! Located in Adventureland, this lively pirate pub will offer themed cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and Caribbean-inspired small plates. Reservations open this week on August 14.

Walt Disney World Halloween Foodie Guide 2025

Ghoulish delectables and seasonal sips are materializing across Walt Disney World from August 15 through November 4. The Halloween food offerings will be available throughout Disney Springs and Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, featuring frightening foodie finds and themed experiences.

Star Wars: A New Hope Returns to Theaters for 50th Anniversary

In a major announcement for Star Wars fans, Lucasfilm revealed that Episode IV will return to theaters beginning April 30, 2027, to celebrate the film's 50th anniversary.

Later, Variety.com appears to have confirmed that the version of the film to be shown is expected to be the 1997 Special Edition, best-known for altering who “shot first” in the Mos Eisley cantina.

Note: The upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling, will arrive in theaters May 28, 2027. 2027 is shaping up to be a great year for Star Wars fans.

Q3 Fiscal 2025 Earnings Report

Disney reported strong third quarter fiscal 2025 results on August 6, delivering robust performance across key business segments. Full report and webcast links below.

Overview:

  • Revenues increased 2% to $23.7 billion from $23.2 billion in Q3 fiscal 2024

  • Total segment operating income increased 8% to $4.6 billion from $4.2 billion

  • Adjusted EPS increased 16% to $1.61 from $1.39 in the prior year quarter

Segment Key Points:

  • Entertainment: Operating income of $1.0 billion, a $179 million decrease versus Q3 fiscal 2024

  • Sports: Operating income of $1.0 billion, an increase of $235 million versus Q3 fiscal 2024

  • Experiences: Operating income of $2.5 billion, an increase of $294 million versus Q3 fiscal 2024

Q4 Fiscal 2025 Guidance and Outlook:

  • Total Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions: Increase of more than 10 million compared to Q3 fiscal 2025, with the majority of the increase coming from Hulu as a result of expanded Charter deal

  • Disney+ subscribers: Modest increase in Disney+ subscribers compared to Q3 fiscal 2025
